Quick evening takeout meal. Prices have gone up from previous reviews. Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup is $6.95. Well worth every penny. Some restaurants give you lots of noodles, but only 3 to 4 wontons. This place is the bomb....6 wontons and just the right amount of noodles. The wontons were very meaty!
Soup was tasty topped with green onions. Soup and food are separated for ride home. When you put all the wontons and noodles into the quart container, it perfectly fills to the top without overflowing!
Everytime I think I ate the last wonton, my chopsticks find another at the bottom of the soup. Warm Chinese comfort food for a late evening meal. -

Delicious authentic and cheap noodle house. Good portions, variety of Cantonese food. Opens late and parking isn't bad.

3 stars because the noodle soup was spot on. Only 3 stars because I think the place could use a little bit of scrubbing. I can't place what the odor was but it wasn't pleasant, so take it to go. I think the location is convenient close to 19th Avenue which is a main thoroughfare where you can catch a MUNI. Plenty of metered parking spaces along Noriega and around the residential streets but it's difficult to find an available one, so you'd be better off busing it here.

This is the spot for an affordable and delicious noodle spot in San Francisco. This place has great shrimp and wonton noodle soup. I enjoyed the minced pork with Shanghai noodle. I am so delighted to have found a place of value. I am going to come here more often.

I am surprised that after coming here for over 30 years, I haven't reviewed them yet. Perhaps it's because I moved away 13 years ago, way before I knew what Yelp was. But recently, I came back to the area for work and came back a few times for nostalgic reasons, and am glad I did.
Many things have not changed over the years. The decor, menu items, and up until a few months ago, their plastic tea mugs. That makes it easy to reminisce about the old days when my friends and I cut class to come here for an 'extended' lunch.
Food is at a very affordable price point, with many dishes under $10. The flavor, based on my deteriorating memory, have not changed. The only difference I can tell is their Szechuan spicy beef rice plate is not as spicy as it was back in the mid 80's. Perhaps many people couldn't handle the heat.
My usual go-to dishes over the years are: Spicy Szechuan beef over rice, and also over noodles. And their wonton noodle soup always hit the spot.
Many comfort food items fill the menu. For anyone seeking some simple late night eats, this is the place. They have been a Sunset District staple for decades, and I hope they'll stay for years to come.
Hope my photos make you hungry.
